I've been doing alot of quilting and hand sewing making quilts for family and friends and babies. I love doing that work bit ive really been craving the feelong of letting my mind wander to strange places. I tried a daily drawing challenge. I lasted 4 days I think. It just didnt grab me.
This week though I had such an urge to just embroider. Nap times are a big game of spin the wheel of time. Do I have 30 minutes or 3 hours? How long before the next interuption?
So, and I'm quite proud of myself for this, I worked within my limitations. I grabbed the smallest hoop I had, some scraps and thread and jist sat down and stitched for 20 minutes.
Boom. A little mini piece of art done.

I was also really holding in my mind the concept of being willing to start from where you are. I think this helped me just free my mind and not worry too much about what I was going to end up with.
Then I went and did two more on the following two days. I really like the format of this project. I may just keep going.
